We looked at all the floor plans and kicked this around alot wanting to get something with hard sides to replace our 2008 POPUP.
The fold down beds on the HTT was a real big incentive as the beds take up ZERO space inside the trailer. You can sleep in the trailer with the beds up or down using the couch if the needs arises... Having the fold down beds on both ends was however a downer for us. Moma was wanting the big picture window like most of the 5th wheels has. Having the canvas beds was not a problem as we have been sleeping that way for years in the POPUP. The canvas however is not very private as you already know.
We both didnt want to get a big trailer that at our retired age would surely take the fun out of going where you want to go and having to put up with where can I park or where can I pull in to get gas for the truck so our max length was set for the 24-length...
In the end which we havent done yet (still running the roads with the POPUP) was to decide on the JAYCO X213 model with the slide out rear bed. With just the two of us it seems to have all the nice feature we want. The X213 comes with a bunk bed area in the front part of the trailer which I will mod into a RADIO/COMPUTER/OFFICE room.
My 2010 F150 Truck should pull all of these trailers shown here with ease. I will hate to stop pulling the OFF-ROAD POPUP however as my truck gets 20-21MPH whether I am pulling the trailer or not. That will go down big time for the trailers that catch the air load behind the truck..
