Did you know you can put brownie batter in the waffle iron and make waffle brownies? DD told us about it and it really works! WE tried it last week. Just make brownie mix according to package directions. Then spoon some batter in the waffle iron. It takes some patience as it is a little harder to get "waffle" out of the iron. But if you have a hankering for a brownie it is very quick. We have one of those round waffle makers that flips over when cooking.

Mountain Traveler wrote: Bought a Waring Pro waffle maker yesterday at Costco. $39.99 and is one of those flip models that makes belgian waffles. Tried it out this morning and it worked awesome. No stick problem and it beeps when they are done so its a no brainer. We used the Krustez waffle mix...yummm!
The wife recently bought the double version Waring that makes 2 waffles at once. Works great so far.

We have had a Warring pro for 20+ years. It has flip plates that make four waffles on one side and four pizzelles on the other.

I'm sorry RVten, we haven't had any problem with temps not being high enough. . . . and I am one that likes a good high heat! Perhaps a thermostat issue???? JMHO
