Like Quartzsite got started years ago. Vicksburg is east and north on highway 60. I haven't been down there in several years.

I just got back from there today and I sure didn't find it to be a ghost town last week. Yesterday it was kind of strange with a lot of the vendors gone and a lot of people leaving. There is still many people camping.
I talked to 3 vendors who said that they would not be coming back next year, they are retiring. I think the economy is taking it's toll. I think there were more people this year but fewer buying things for whatever reason. I know I spent less this year. There just wasn't anything I had to have. After going for over 5 years I'm already well stocked with BBQ lighters and tools. I did find a candidate for the Emu oil. There was a rocking lawn sculpture of a Emu (ostrich) that may have needed lubricating. I'm already looking forward to next year.

All my 1S batteries are shot and we had to come all the way back to Palm Springs to hopefully find them.
