More accurately - you are comparing a publicly funded toll road to a private road (E-470).

Local knowledge can save alot of $$$$. Many years of flying into DIA renting a car & heading to Boulder. Never used 470. Tower road, 104th, 36 works well though things are pretty built up now.
X2 on avoiding the Mousetrap. Been through there towing. Get a few lanes out & hang on tight.

JoeB, got to wonder where you got on and off. Before the price increase, it cost about $8 from south entrance off I-25 to the airport exit. It is a very expensive toll road. By the way, building roads is one of the things government is supposed to be doing. Yet, it's so busy spending our money on things it has no business doing, this road had to be built privately.

Good points related to E-470! Indeed I am glad that at least the private bond holders were able to rally and get this road built! May be expensive - but I agree completely that the bond holders should be paid back for taking the risk of funding it. I also disagree with the 'most expensive' part. Other privately funded toll road across the country charge just about the same $$. When you compare you can't include those roads that are owned by the government and tolls are just used to maintain the road (vs. actually pay for the road). Happy travels!
