It certainly doesn't look its age. It looks like the previous owner(s) took a lot of pride in ownership. Unless there is something hidden that is wrong with the RV, I'd jump on it.

Check PPL first. There are better choices there, IMHO

I agree. Take your time or look at PPL Motorhomes. Raise your budget a bit for the '98 Dutch Star, or see if the sale goes through on the '96 Navigator.

I didn't see the Navigator, but the Dutch Star has an LP gen and a Spartan chassis, both downgrades from the Country Coach. I don't want a slide, and I much prefer the CC's interior. While older it still seems a different level of quality.

The Navigator is D741 (pending sale). You're right about the genny, but the chassis would override the miles and condition of the Country Coach. I had a Gillig on our Country Coach Concept and respect that chassis, but not with those miles and interior. If no slide is the preference, then I would look for a Mitchell Vogue of about '96 (if the come down that price range).
P.S. About PPL pending sale. They put on at deposit and sale does not always follow through.

I was under the impression that the mileage for that engine and chassis was not a big issue. The seller claims the coach is pristine and freshly serviced, and for my tastes I much prefer the CC's interior. Assuming the coach is indeed pristine, and has been well cared for, what would the advantage be with the Dutch Star, especially since it's interior's aesthetics don't appeal to me? I'm not trying to be argumentative, just looking for informed opinions.

I'm a big fan of Country Coach for many reasons and think they made some of the most innovative and reliable coaches. They had their own Prevost conversion team and knew a lot about quality. The Gillig chassis being one excellent example. If the coach is pristine, great, but I'm looking at the miles as a reflection of use. The chassis and diesel maybe sound - a great plus for travel. Still, I am a bit concerned that you may end up doing what I did on the concept: replacing lenses, lights, interior carpet and house systems. Country Coach was alive back then. Today, as I know all to well, it is nice to have a manufacture in support of older coach technology. Many will sell things, but to bring a coach up to satisfaction. It can be expensive. If you take time and look, you may find an exemplar that is top notch, so check things out especially if you are new to these. That is all I really wanted to say. Good luck!
