Back before thanksgiving I installed a Moen outdoor hot and cold faucet. When I turned it on the hot side didn't work. First thing I checked was to see if did the plumbing right. The hot side was hot right up to the back of the faucet. So I called Moen and told them I had no hot water coming out of the faucet. I was expecting them to say I plumed it wrong. All they said was what is the model number. I gave them the model number and then they asked for my name and address. Then they said that cartridge was on back order and they would send a replacement when they came in.

I got the part yesterday and installed it. When I removed the cartridge and compared it to the new one I saw the problem. When they molded the cartridge the hot side was solid plastic. No inlet hole. Now I know why they didn't give me any trouble trying to get a replacement. They must have had an awful lot get through QC. If there was any.

moen would not give you any trouble regardless of your complaint. they will readily send you a replacement for any part that you have a problem with. i think likewise most highend faucet companies would do the same.its good PR to handle a customer problem with no hassle.

I would think MAYBE they're quality control only checks a few from a given batch instead of each one.
