Next time you set up a campsite at Q, first thing you do is go out 200' from your rig and set up targets all the way around. When someone starts setting up too close to you explain to them that they are setting up between you and your targets or at least too close to the shooting range.

I wonder where all the "generator at all times" members are.

I have approached many camping neighbors about excessive generator use and most of the time that non-confrontational visit either ruins his, or my experience.

LOL, I've not had much success with that approach either.

Although I DID post to have a conversation first....

Neither have I had much success.

But I keep trying it as an initial response to 'campground etiquette'
infractions. Doesn't cost me anything........but does allow for a clear conscious

It's because. the camper wannabes don't care. theyn just want to go out with their big trailer, and loud generator, so they can tell their friends how they "roughed" it over the weekend.

The boondocker wannabees are easy to spot. They're the ones running a 5kw generator to watch TV.

One nice thing about the BLM camping areas around Quartzsite is that Rules are few. Unfortunately someone will run across a grumpy
know it all who is opposed to anyone else having a good time and taking advantage of the few and far between rules in that area. When we hear from one of those types and they swear they'll never be back it's music to our ears. One of the beauties of camping in the Quartzsite area is everyone does their thing from running their generator to congregating in one area with their respective groups to camping by themselves. That is just the way things have evolved there.

But, Never fear you grumps have choices. You know what they are and they don't include confrontation.

Just get several large "Be Ware of Dog" signs and place strategically several yards away from your RV. The bigger the signs, the better. Also, place a very large chain that is very visible near your RV. Might help?
