Hi..Is anyone a member of FMCA and what benefits to you get? Is it worth the 50.00 to join? Being new to the RV world what other memberships or organizations should I look into?

Thanks in advance

Yes, many of us are FMCA members.

For a list of member benefits, their website is the best source: http://www.fmca.com/join-family-motor-coach-association/member-benefits

I'm a member.....and between the magazine and discounts, it's probably worth the money. If you actually USE the membership and go to ralleys and join a local group, you can really have a great time.....and will feel that the cost is 'nothing'.

IMO, and I am a member of both, you get a LOT more for your money with FMCA than you do with Good Sam.

Only thing I get out of it. Is belonging to a local chapter.
Magazine favors DP owners more than the average MH owner.

Besides being a lot of fun we have learned a LOT by going to local Chapter Rallies. We have also been to a couple of Area Rallies and National Rallies and got a lot from them as well.

Good places for purchases; at Area and National Rallies many dealers (such as RoadMaster) offer the best possible deals and some free services.

The FMCA Magazine is a good read too, though it has suffered a bit in the last several years due to costs and the economy.

Looking at the web site I am having some trouble seeing the benefit over Good Sam. Certainly the number of GS campgrounds is far more. That would seem to be a plus for GS.

I am considering joining FMCA and would love to be able to understand the added benefit over GS. Thanks.
