We have five vehicles and our house insured through State Farm.
When we got our RV, I went to our agent and, even with Multi-line, Multi-vehicle, loyalty, driving record...and numerous other discounts they couldn't touch Progressive...and...did not even offer or include some of the "unique to RVs" coverage that Progressive offers.
As others have noted, I don't think some of the insurance companies have a clue in regard to the special insurance needs of RVs.

We have our house and toad with State Farm for many years and have been well please. Initially we had our MH with them but when I really reviewed their MH policy I found that it was just an auto policy and not designed for MHs. The agent had to agree with me and understood why I changed companies. I switched to Progressive and have been VERY pleased as their policy is specifically designed for MHs. We’ve been with them for 4 years, they’ve paid for two windshields in a prompt efficient manner and my premiums have gone up very little.

When I took delivery of my RV I had full coverage with my Auto Insurance Company (Farm Bureau). The RV Manufacturer showed me a quote from an Independent Agent representing Progressive which was for an actual RV policy as opposed to what I had with Farm Bureau, which was just a regular Auto type policy.
I am in the process of cancelling the policy with Farm Bureau and getting a new policy with Progressive. The Progressive Policy is more by about 25%, but the coverage is so much better. The big plus is that they offer Full Replacement Coverage for the first 5 years of the policy. To me that's huge.
I wasn't unhappy with Farm Bureau, and have all my other insurance there. It's just that Progressive had the policy that was better suited for the RV.
YMMV
