Never been turned away...however last year when I was researching campgrounds/RV resorts in Northern Michigan I came across an RV park that didn't allow Travel Trailers.

Hey, our Jayco Eagle isn't a "high end" RV by any stretch....but it's a nice rig and looks the part.
Why in the world would a business restrict an RV just because it was a travel trailer?

With my limited experience I did pull in and found they had a age limit. My 78 Coachmen was looking good and had a dog too. Loveland co and a great place let me in..

We've been turned away by a couple of campgrounds, but that's because they were full. Other than that, we've never had a problem. Crossing my fingers that it stays that way.

I got turned away on the Oegon Coast once because my dog was to big....He may be big 120lbs, but quiter than the little dogs running around. I had to get my Credit card company to go after them as they refused to give me a refund. Said owners had right to cancel reservations at any time for animal issues. How can it be an issue if you won't even let us through the gates... Took 2 months for my full refund.

We're not the country club types by any stretch of the imagination, but we spent a few days at an "RV resort" in Las Vegas that had the ten year rule. It wasn't an issue because our MH made it in under the wire, so I'm not sure how closely they enforced the rule, if at all. No one mentioned it one way or the other.
I'm typically not the "RV resort" sort, but I must say that was probably the nicest RV park we've ever stayed in from an amenity point of view. However, it wasn't the most expensive by a long shot. Very nice at a fair price.

We got turned away once, from a park just East of Seattle, because we were traveling with 2 indoor cats. When I saw the place, I was glad! Big, fancy, upscale joint right next to the freeway!
So, I looked at a park South of Everett, but I turned them down, I didn't like their rules. Too restrictive, IMO.
I found a very nice place in the woods near Poulsbo. The only problem was, they would not handle mail for the residents, so I had to get mail "General Delivery" at the Post Office in town. We survived the inconvenience. For 13 weeks.
Anyway, the park East of Seattle is the only one that has refused us, and I am actually glad they did!
