I find cut out cookies tedious to make, so I buy mine all ready for the oven from Gordon Food Service. They also sell icing in a very generic looking tub, usually near by.

I bake them, from the box and the grand kids ice and decorate them. They are actually pretty darn good. Terry R.

I find making cookies far less "tedious" then driving to the food store. The grand kids can help me decorate mine too.

I'm trying to 'cut out cookies', myself. Trying to cut out fudge and other goodies, too!

We've got three teens who just love to make all different kinds of cookies from scratch. A family tradition for sure. Wouldn't consider anything pre made.

Just offering a possible solution for those working folks, running out of time and energy, that is still tasty and pretty. Terry R.

With my Lupus, Cardiac insufficency, Chemo therapy, I'm lucky to get out of bed much less bake the 14-15 different christmas cookies I used to make. (Late DW's grandmother gave me all her receipes, Sorry but I've sent them all to my son and expect a care package any day)
Just hope I can keep them down.

I made three kinds of cookies, two kinds of fudge and stuffed dates. Had to take them all to the staff at the nursing home where my husband is a resident. Too tempting to keep them in the house! Last year I donated them to the fire station because the paramedics had come to the house eight times in two months to pick my poor husband up off the floor.

Terry, There are many folks, for whatever reason don't make the cut-out cookies, appreciate your suggestion. The important thing is, your grandchildren will remember decorating cookies at your house. If we had Gordon's in our area I would surely try them.

mockturtle, Such a nice way to thank those who are wonderful servants to our loved ones.

mike4947, Praying you will enjoy your care package.

I baked these yesterday and they turned out real cute.

I found the recipe on the Pillsbury website. They actually give instructions to make these cookies using their refrigerated cookie dough. I made my own dough, but either way, they are really cute.

You can find other quick holiday cookies using the store bought dough on their website.
