This is what we have and love it. We use the short queen dual control.

We've been using our Sleep Number bed for over 5 years and love it. Can't wait to retire and move it into the 5er and LOSE the original bag o' springs we have there now.

3. Sofa bed where you remove the mattress before folding the bed platform back into sofa: This is what I have and find that I must use a standard air mattress. They are very poor quality and always leak. Must be pumped up in the middle of the night. They are always $60 or less. Does anyone know where I can get a quality one, even if it was $200-$300? Sometimes the marketplace does not offer quality in certain items. I have tried several brands including Aerobed, Intex, etc.

I have bought so many different brands of airbeds over the years, top quality to low, never once found one that stayed inflated properly all through the night, and everytime i wake up with an aching back.

If anyone ever finds a brand that holds air all night, please create a thread and let everyone know your valuable find and what brand! lol

YOu were correct though in the different types of airbeds. And then there is the bed like a sleep number that is designed to stay on a bed just like a standard house mattress that you don't deflate and inflate and put away.

We have been sleeping on a Coleman QS waterbed, in various RV's that we have owned, for a number of years. We lasted exactly two nights on the "deluxe" QS mattress that came with our new Cougar. We love our air mattress and would not consider going back to any other mattress. Well, except for our king size memory foam mattress that we had in our S&B house. Now THAT was a great sleep! anyway, I digress. We have not had a great deal of luck regarding longevity of our air mattresses - normally a year or so and then a seam lets go or the dog pokes a hole or whatever. They really aren't that expensive in the long run I guess and we do get a good sleep with them. We have rarely had any problems with the mattress not being able to hold air pressure for several weeks or even months at a time and we use the small electric air pumps to tweak the pressure from time to time if needed. As always, YMMV.

Cheers!

Do you mean a Coleman QS AIRBED? You said waterbed, but I don't think Coleman makes a waterbed...do they?

My son told me recently that his in-laws are not happy with their "sleep number" bed in their class c and are going to replace it.
They must be our hidden twins. We don't think the sleep number is all it's hyped up to be. Seems no different than an airmattress. I'm about to replace ours with a standard queen mattress. No pillow topper, either.

Oh .............. Yes, of course it is an airbed. Must have been too late last night to be typing at the keyboard. Very sorry about that!

Cheers!

I love my air bed, now. I really struggled to keep up with it the first few days I got to use it because it was really extra hard to move with all the movement and bounce it brings when on it.

Though you have to love how sturdy they are and it seems like whatever you do with it, is just going to bounce back at you. Something I would really prefer to use over anything.

Had a sleep number bed in the house for several years. Loved it at first but as after a few years love turned to hate. I would never spend that kind of money on one again. Controller starting acting up, foam on the sides breaking down. And if the inside of the bed ever grts any kind of dampness in it you can wind up with a nice crop of black mold growing in there. Sorry i know some people love air beds but never again for me.

I removed our Sleep Number from our Meredian and replaced it with a QS pillow top mattress. The wife did not care for it.
