I love ours. It's a Sleep Number, RV edition. No arguing about mattress firmness with dual controls.

Ditto to the Sleep Number Bed, Rv Edition... We are very pleased with ours...Queen size is 60" X 80"...However, be aware it does not come with a controller with the sleep number...That costs extra..not standard with the Rv Edition...Each controller simply adjusts the firmness...Our home sleep number bed comes with the LED display of the sleep number..it's very helpfull taking the guess work out when setting the firmness

We're full timers and needed a good mattress. We tried a Tempurpedic... I. loved it but the DW did not. We replaced it with a Sleep Number and now we both love it. Got ours at Campingworld because we needed a king.

After our waterbed mattress died a spectacular death (with us in it ) we bought a Sleep Number . We were not able to agree on the firmness for a conventional mattress and the dual-chamber seemed like a good compromise.
That next summer, we took a week-long trip in our RV and both our backs ached horribly. When we received a coupon for a factory refurbish for about 1/2 what we paid for the house, there was very little discussion about the purchase for the RV.
Both beds now have 2 inch memory foam toppers and we sleep like contented babies .

Just to be clear, my understanding is there is a difference between the conventional airbed, and some of the airbeds designed for RVs. Those designed for RVs have an auto-deflate feature. This automatically opens a vent in the airbed to keep you from popping the airbed. This might happen if you want from, say sea-level to 8000 ft, without stopped to reset the pressure.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

How many went to a cheap air mattress to test how they liked it? What was the results? I do not want to spend the big bucks for the air bladder in the RV.

We are using an Airdream full size on the sofa bed for my step-son and have been using it for about 1 1/2 years when we've been camping. It was about $300 and we've been very happy with it.It blows up in about 60 seconds and deflates just as fast and seems to hold the air pressure for several days at least. It has it's own air pump and about 2" of padding and springs on the bottom.
