This stuff is wonderful!
1 Gallon of Applejuice
1 Gallon of Apple Cider ( try to get some without all the stuff in the bottom)
5 cups of sugar
5 Cinnamon Sticks
1 fith of EverClear 151 Proof

Pour everything but the EverClear in a pot and heat it almost to a boil, to melt the sugar. Let it simmer for a few minutes then sit until it is just warm.
Add the EverClear and stir well.
Makes 10 Quarts.
Place 1 cinnamon stick in each Quart jar.
Serve warm, chilled, or over ice Anyway you cut it, its GREAT!
Enjoy,
Merry Christmas!

This is how we make it.

1 gallon Apple Cider

1/2 gallon Apple Juice

1 cup sugar

5 -7 cinnamon sticks

Put in a very large pot and bring to a boil then remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Take several hours.

Then when cool stir in 1 to 2 fifths fo Everclear. We use 1 fifth and about a third of another.

This makes a lot so make sure you have containers to put it in. Save and place cinnamon sticks in the containers of drink

Personally I like to get Everclear 190, unfortunately I have to visit the BIL in Tennessee, as Florida will not sell it anymore. Doggone those spring breakers.

At a former company I worked at, we used Everclear to clean the lenses and mirrors of our optics packages for laser microscopy products. Works great and drys with zero residue.

Everclear is illegal here in WA state so we had to get a special license to buy it.

Basically, it's pure alcohol....but drinkable.....sorta

As mentioned, it makes a great cleaner, as it has no residue. We had a Gyro Tech that would come on the boat, to clean the gyro, and he'd bring about a gallon of the stuff.....use about a cup of it, and leave the rest of the bottle
Ah, the good old days!! Can't do that stuff anymore!!
You could mix it with Cool Aid, or punch, and.....well, lose a few days!

My dad used to tell the story of when he was in the USN, they had to clean electronic contacts in the firing circuitry of the battleship guns. They had to use grain alcohol, which they had to get from the Medical department. They'd get a gallon, trade a quart to the Aviation department for a gallon of 130 octane AvGas, use the gasoline to clean the contacts, and make drinks out of the remaining 3 quarts of grain alcohol!
