I've had a couple of manual sliders and just did not like them. Went with out a slider for several years, and had a guy that works for me take it to Amarillo for a quick repair job. He got into a place that was tight, trying to buy a coke, and took out the rear window. No problems getting one installed but short almost 1000.00. After that season bought a Pullright SG automatic, and got rid of a lot of noise, plus a very sweet hitch.

I have one and it works well, no noise. I've used the slider once, just to see how it works. I can crank the 5er almost 90* without sliding, but it's bound to be good insurance at some point.
