We just returned from an auto trip through Hot Springs Ak and was really impressed by the adjacent lakes.

Any camp ground recommendations for the state or national parks in the area with lake views or access? We have a 30'DP and elect power, 30 or 50 amps would be nice

We like Cloud 9 outside Hot Springs. Clean, friendly, quiet, well kept. Great views.

Arkansas has a very nice web site that is really easy to negotiate. Most of their parks have gone through an extensive overhaul in the last 2 years. We have personally been to Mt. Magazine, Toad Suck, Bull Shoals White River park. Just across the state line in Oklahoma is Natural Falls State park. All beautiful parks with plenty of hiking and bicycling. Our favorite by far is Mt. Magazine with only 18 full hookup sites and the highest point in Arkansas.

Just left Lake Catherine State Park.
Small park with newly renovated full hook up sites right on the water.
Out in the hills and not very close to towns.

Believe you meant Hot Springs, AR (Arkansas), not Hot Springs, AK (Alaska).

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

I second Lake Catherine S.P. - about an hour from Hot Springs (if memory serves). Good to hear about the renovations. We were there several years ago in the fall and still remember it as one of the most beautiful State parks we have ever been in!
