I thought you had to be from the Deep South to appreciate that book. I am, I did, and I know at least one person who could have been each of the characters in the book!

My book club read the book a few months ago, and several of us saw the movie. The book received a high rating by all members of our book club. The book and movie are both very good. The movie is true to the book which I enjoyed because so many movies make major changes.

I read the book some time ago and enjoyed it. I'm happy to hear that the movie is true to the book. May see it at some point.

I saw the movie - thought is was extremely well done. While I was raised in the north, we drove to Florida every summer to visit grandparents in the 60's. I was painfully aware of many of these issues, and hope I never forget what I observed even as a little girl. We just can't let these issues be forgotten!

I read the book and thought it was very well-written. I read somewhere that she had an amazing number of rejection letters for the book. Can you imagine?
I haven't seen the movie, though I did seriously consider going out to see it tonight.
