That sounds better than the canoe trip my son took at Juniper Springs. Apparently, they haven't maintained the canoe trail, and my son and his wife dumped their canoe over while trying to "limbo" under a log accros the trail.

My cousin jogs through that park and swims there regularly, as she lives in Dunnellon and teaches at the local high school. I really need to take the rig down there and pay her and her husband a visit.

There is absolutely no comparison between Juniper Springs and Rainbow Spring runs.
Rainbow is wide from it's inception to where it flows into the withlacoochee, with no overhanging trees while Juniper starts off as a narrow brook and never get very wide and most of it is complete wilderness.
I love them both, but if you are not an experienced paddler you will have some difficulty as well as a few laughs paddling Juniper
