Was talking with an older couple and they told me how it isn't easy getting old. At 59 I have something that hurts everyday. When I work I feel great after work sometimes..................well you know the rest.
Just wondering what others go thru.
Take care.

Getting old isn't for wimps. The alternative isn't much either.

I'm with you - every day and every hour of every day. DW has it worse. She has RA and that sucks. Had a rare dinner a month or so ago where all my siblings and their spouses were at a dinner table. I had to laugh because the first topics of conversation were our ills and medications. But, as said, sure beats the alternative.

There's nothing wrong with old age, as long as you get there, without ALL the aches and pains. Me triple by-pass, Ischemic Heart Disease from Agent Orange. Type 2 Diabetes also from AO, Insomnia from Post traumatic Stress Disorder, Neuropathy and Drop Foot syndrome plus 4 or 5 other things all related from service in NAM, but we just came off l2 weeks in NM & Co. I'm 70 years young but will be slowing down. Not ready to give up the RV.

Yep. I am also 59 and have aches and pains everyday. I won't bore you with a list of my health problems, but everyday something DIFFERENT is the "pain for the day"
At least I have some variety. LOL

Yeah, same here. Back hurts most days when I get up, old pains from sports injuries in high school many years ago have caught up with me, etc. etc. Mid 50's doesn't feel like mid 30's, but consider the alternative. Hang in there!

I'm 75 and get up EVERY DAY with back hurting. Severe arthritis of the spine. Fortunately the hurt goes away after being out of bed for 10-15 minutes. DW (72) also has arthur (a friend says arthur is one of the nastiest of the itis boys). She has a hand tremor but we don't know yet if it's essential (no known cause) or Parkinson's. Whatever, we'll keep going until the bodies just won't allow it. Then we MAY resort to bus tours (yuk).

Beats the other, more permanent option.
FWIW -- find a good doctor and have an in-depth conversation with them. I was on pain meds for several years and when we moved my new doc spent a lot of time with me and between a combination of low-impact exercise and taking something to help me sleep better at night I was eventually able to drop the pain meds.
Yes, there is still pain everyday, but it is livable and I prefer to do it with fewer meds.

I sound like a bowl of rice crispys every morning....snap, crackle, pop
Pain as always been part of my life. Some days are better, some worst. That's the way it's been since the day I was born.
Might be slower now.....but not gonna stop---willingly !!!
