No need to pay for PDAnet. You can use Barnacle for free.

We used Motosat. Now rely on WIFI in parks or elsewhere, until we reach the new-age phone level. When we get new phones, they will be iPhones, or similar.

We'll echo most of the thoughts about the park's Wi-Fi -- very hit or miss. Sometimes free, sometimes not. We used to have two Verizon Airport Plug in "sticks" for each of our iBooks, but have gone to the Verizon Mi-Fi Wireless Hotspot that works very well so far (about two months into it). Judging by our airport, a lot of other people have gone this way also.

Best of luck to you.

Aircard (plugged into our router) with Millenicom as the provider. 20G for $59.95 (its in Oregon, no sales tax) and the 3G aircard was free with no long term contract.

WiFi is to hit or miss to rely upon.
