Thanks. He was
At the scales. He left there. And chased me down. He said he been watching me for six months. He picked on EVERYTHING !! He even call for a tow truck. But it wasent big enough. And he couldn't find one. So he said it was my lucky day. And I will get citations in mail. I been driving that truck for 16 years with out any problems.

Man that really sucks! I would like to know what is the problem with your rear axle? There are Limos with extra axles on them so I can not understand what his problem was. I have never heard of mailing the citations to someone, hopefully he was he was B.S.ing you and nothing will come from the state. Please let us know what or if he writes you up for.

I'm thinking that the rear axle, if not driven has to be liftable to clear the road.
Also the licensing is probably different for two axles.
Bumper heights have to approximate stock height.

I know a LEO one time who said he could do a roadside on a new car, fresh off the lot and find a citable offense. PITA

Lights are another issue.
Exhaust pipes are a gimme.
Studded tires in some states are a no no.

Seems like every time somebody said 'there oughtta be a law', they passed another one.

Had one of the county clerks stop by my place one time and asked me what I was going to do with the two big piles of dirt that I was spreading in my front yard. Bottom line was I was supposed to get a permit to spread the dirt.

Told him he had thirty seconds to get off my private property or I would remove him. He said "I am a county employee, you can't talk to me like that!" I responded "I am a Federal employee, you now have 25 seconds!". He left shortly after that.

Federal Employee = DOD. Hey, that counts.

Some of them just get a big head until you squish it a little.

Good advise. But I don't know what I will be fighting till I get the paper work. He called me a jerk and was very disrespectful. I was very respectful towards him. But let's face it. They are under controll of the whole situation. He brought the tow truck out just to cost me money. No other reason! The truck could not fit my truck on it because of the extra axel.

He is...start at the beginning and read JUST his posts, so as to get you up to speed on the thread. (Recommended for anyone "just tuning in so as to prevent such questions that would answer themselves if you took the time to read a bit.)

Thx for the help there Doughboy, But your advice May be a bit overmuch for what's really in this thread? Since he's working on a real truck Now, rather than the PU. Much more realistic for heavier uses.

If you read All the posts, you'd notice at the top of this page where I went back and found the change in equipment? But thx.

Then why the stupid comment/question?
