They've been talking about this in the Klamath National Forest for a while. In my opinion, I'm gonna go where I want to go on my public lands.

I would love a good map showing the trails, and I only ride on designated trails. But the USFS has been playing us for a while now. You will notice that the OHV trails are often short trails with highway legal trails separating them making a continuous ride impossible. They have effectively made hundreds of miles of OHV trails inaccessible. They can boast they have hundreds of miles of trails, yet each trail is a few short miles long, then you have to trailer your OHV to the next trail.

I sure wish I could ride in the forest around San Diego. There are 2 areas (not connected) that I know of in the Cleveland Nat'l Forest.

Like it or not, agree with it or not, this is the direct result of the environs having a big, well paid, effective lobby, and private landowners getting tired of OHV'ers not respecting fencelines.

This should be no surprise to anyone that is into OHV use/4 wheeling. The FS has been going through every NF in CA the last 4 years deciding what trails/roads to keep open and which to close. The Greenies want everything closed and the wheelers want to keep everything open. There have been public meetings and a window for written comments to be submitted on every NF. Shame on you if you did not attend a meeting or turn in written comments on the proposed trail closures. The greenie groups have been out in full force.
