An excellent appetizer, split 20 jalapenos in half removing all seeds and white membrane. Spoon Philly cream cheese into pepper half and wrap with 1/2 slice of bacon fixed with a tooth pick. Broil in oven on a rack which allows grease to drain away. When bacon is crispy, its time to serve

Also can be stuffed with the the cheese & shrimp or crumbled cooked chicken... also can be cooked on the BBQ.
DW does them these ways.

This is a great snack. We do a variation of this using precooked bacon. We crumble the bacon and mix it into the cream cheese. Sometimes we will add a little shredded cedar into the mix also.

I use whole jalapenos. Clean them out really well with a cheap potato peeler. Soak in 7-Up over night. Pipe a little soft cream cheese mixed with sour cream into the bottom, then stick a Boars Head version of a Lil Smokie in it. Lay a 1" piece of bacon on top. I have a pepper stand but you can cut x's in an upside down disposable aluminum casserole and stick the peppers upright then smoke them on my Weber with a cedar plank. Variations can be cheddar cheese and/or a slice of fruit inside and/or some sweet BBQ sauce. Very little heat but every once in awhile you get a hot one.

The fun is in creating the filling. My go to filling is chorizo, cream cheese, cheddar cheese & garlic powder. I also find nuking the bacon for a minute before wrapping the pepper to help it crisp up without over cooking the pepper.

We have the Chili Grill and love to make the stuffed jalapenos.
We cut chunks of cheddar, mozz., jack, pepperjack, (or your favorite cheese) that will fit inside the pepper, then toothpick a 1/3 or 1/2 slice of bacon over and grill. We've used salami over the mozz.
It's fun to come up with new fillings. They're always interesting.

Those in the meat smoking community have been doing this for years in their smokers where they are known as ABT's. They are very tasty

Try some of the pineapple creamcheese in place of plain cream cheese.
Nice contrast....sweet and heat. Good balance.
