As others have said, I just lay my button antenna on the dash, as far forward as possible, works just fine. I have a nice dash mat and just run the wires under the mat.

The Big store (Best Buy) would not drill through my roof, stated that they didn't want any future liability. However, they did mount the antenna center on my front bumper. I get minimum drop signal if any. I am quite happy with their work.

The radio in my new rig has Sirius and states that it is sat. ready. Does anyone know if that means is has a sat somewhere installed or what?

JJJake 1390, Sat ready only means that it will work with sat receiver and service and antenna, all you have to add.

I mount my magnetic XM ant on top of the MH on the metal brace for the awning. I run it out the top of the passenger door and up the arm of the awning. It's very simple to move it to open the awning at the campsite.

I mounted my Sirius antenna on a small aluminum plate with velcro then mounted
the plate with a lower inside frame screw of the front cab over window. The plate
was bent so the antenna face up through the window.

Mine came from factory with hole drilled into roof. It was really well sealed. No problems to date.

Take off the screen from an overhead vent, stick the magnetic-mount antenna to the top of the steel bracket that holds the crank, then reinstall the screen being careful to not badly pinch the wire. Pull the wire across the ceiling to wherever you want it and hold it to the ceiling with white (or whatever color you please) tape.
