After seven years of faithful service the BB died a silent death. I've been looking for a replacement but all are costing around $1000. Other than e-bay has anyone seen them at a better price? I've looked at BB, D-Brake, and Roadmaster.
Thanks

Just wondering what the death of yours was?? Mine seems to be taking longer to build pressure than it use to. Once it builds pressure it does hold ok.

Only goes to 5 pounds and will not test. Will not press brake when testing.

BB repaired ours at about the same age for a very reasonable price. That would be my 1st choice. Our BB is now 12+ years old and going strong.

Brake Buddy is among the top in Customer Service... 1-800-470-2287

We just sent one in, seems (definite repair needed will be known to us when they check it out) compressor is on its way out. Very reasonable to repair compressor if that's it.

We bought our used from a RV dealership and problem was not from buying used, but I feel fault was on our end. We were using a 12volt recept. and there was not enough power in that recept for compressor to power up. We have since had
the wiring hardwired to the battery for better voltage.

We have worked with BB in the past and have always found them to be helpful and sensitive to our needs in meeting any trips we have planned. Even shipped us a loaner one time to a destination campground in Maine. Can't ask for better!

I shipped my Brake Buddy to them for repair. They replaced the compressor, checked it out and sent it back for a cost of $145 if I remember correcly. Much less tham buying something new.

Another vote for BB's repair service. Give them a call and they will give you an authorization nuimber and address to send the unit to. They are quick and resonably priced.
Good luck.

Hay, thanks everyone! $145 or so sure beats $1000. Again, thanks everyone!!
