The best think I ever did was custom order my AF. I got it from the factory with everything I wanted, including some customs options. Go visit the Komfort factory.

I understand wanting to go camping now..... but we truly use our AF year round. The parks arent as crowded and it makes for a nice weekend getaway from the cloudy nw weather.

I understand your predicament... but having been through a similar ordeal with a toy hauler with a warped roof/dealer repair, id bail on that unit.

good luck whatever you decide to do. It's a nice looking floorplan.

Hi, I would not buy this trailer. They will never get it back like it was made originally from the factory. Even the factory would have a hard time making it right. If you take this trailer, you need a horrendous discount. They will tell you, it will take forever to get another one like it just to get you or someone else to buy this one and get it off of their lot. If you walk away from this one, I bet they can get you another one real quick; They don't want to lose a sale. You never want to buy a new trailer with body damage or a body defect.

one thing you have got to learn about salesman, if their lips are moving, they are lying to you. salesman and lawyers, two of a kind, don't believe a word they say unless it's in writing. some thing tells me you are going to learn a sorry lesson on this one.

snip....One item of concern I have is that the fiberglass nose of this particular unit looks really wavy. There is obviously something wrong with it, as none of the other Resorts on the lot have this issue.....snip.....I pointed it out to the salesguy that was helping me tonight, and he said they had noticed it and realized it needed repair....snip

I agree with the others, walk away from this particular unit. They may be able to "tweak" the panel and fill in the gaps, but I would be more concerned of a possible unknown/hidden root cause that could become an issue later, possibly outside of the warranty period.

Have the dealer aquire or order you a new one, and then go into the purchase with a strong piece of mind.

If there is something wrong with the unit that requires surgery like you desribe, I agree, get a different unit.
IF you decide not to heed everyone's advice and buy this unit anyway, get EVERYTHING in writing. What the dealer says they'll do, when they'll do it, how they'll do it, etc. If you don't get their promises in writing, it's your word against theirs and you'll lose.
I am concerned with the potential head aches you might have if the unit is improperly repaired or suffers a premature problem down the road. Good luck.

B.O,

I would also see if the dealer had another unit that you like, but as for the above, the dealer has the expense of making the repair before the sale but if the unit is sold, then the factory warranty would cover the cost.

Front/rear caps are probably one piece injection molded plastic. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have a slight delamination area on the right front side of my TT and Have not noticed any discernable leak and mine is an '06 model altho a different make.JMHO

I would do a "time out" on this one. Cancel your deposit and let the salesman know you want more time to think about it.

You are looking at a pretty standard floor plan - this is not a unique model. Give yourself a week, or two, just to look around a bit more - if that particular unit is really "the one", the odds are pretty good it'll still be there for you and once you decide to buy you'll be surprised how quickly that will come together.

Before you commit a large chunk of change, make sure there isn't another one out there that will turn your head later.

Curtis Trailers has 3 240RKs in stock. Looks like the other two are at the Hillsboro location.

Why not buy one of the trailers in stock that does not have the wavy front?
