My TT has stabalizers, but I've seen what appears to be scissor jacks on other trailers.
I know the stabalizers can't jack up the trailer to level it out, sometimes i park one side of the trailer on 2x4's to level it out.
My question is, can those jacks be used to level the trailer? If the answer is yes.. will it not twist the trailer and possibly hurt it?
Thanks

Yes, they can "lift" the trailer, but they shouldn't be used in that manner. As you thought, they could twist the frame and cause damage to the trailer. If you had 6, one at each corner and two at the wheels, and could control their extension all at the same time, they could probably level the trailer, but that would require way too much cooperation and thought for a weekend.

Regardless if jacks installed on a TT are stab or scissor type, they should only be used for stabilizing the rig for the reasons you stated above. Leveling is achieved by the use of boards, lego style blocks, or digging in order to level side to side while the tongue jack is used to level front to back.

The scissor jacks are really for stabilizing only. You need to use boards, blocks or lynx blocks to level side to side, the tongue jack to level front to back and the stabilizers to stabilize.

I wouldn't put 2X4s UNDER my tires. Too narrow for the weight. Go with 2X6s instead. JMHO

I use 2x6 and they are still too narrow. You need 2x8, perhaps even 2x10 if you are running wider LT style tires.

lynx blocks are easy to use and stow and weigh a lot less than 2x10's.
AND really inexpensive at WallyWorld.
