Hey folks just saw this generator at an outdoor shop and it was $400 cheaper than the Yamaha 2000 inverter gen. I thought Generac only did the large gens. Anyone have one of these babies and what are your thoughts. I looked at the box and it said mfg'd in china. Are all Generacs made in china?

The first thing I asked was how loud are they and the salesman couldn't answer the questiion. Thought maybe the Honeywell 2k or Generac would save me money....but at what cost?

Genajunk is a fine generator. If you don't mind searching for someone to work on it. Then paying through the nose for parts. You can get a Genajunk unit at a VW price. But then you are going to pay Rolls Royce price for the parts.
The factory support is none. Their own dealers don't want to work on them. You can't find any good Genajunk mechanics because there are none. Then on top of that it may or may not work. The part you need may or may not be supported buy Genajunk. The things can come from any part of the globe.
Other than that they are fine.

I have an onboard Generac LP 3600. You don't want a Generac generator, regardless of the fuel source. I have a hard time finding a GOOD Generac qualified tech and nobody else wants to work on them. Besides that, Generac is real proud of their parts. Spend the money and go with Honda or a Yammie. You'll save in the long run on quality, parts, and service. JMO.
