Anyone out there have any experience with the Suburban Ceran Glass Cooktop? It has two propane burners and one electric burner. We're thinking of replacing our range/oven with the combination cooktop. Any input would be appreciated.

Just curious. Why would you want an electric element when the gas burners work so much better?

Electric is cleaner.

If your on full hookups you get electric but have to buy propane.

Less of a fire hazard unless you forget the beans are on.

Personally I prefer the gas easier to control the heat.

Those certainly make sense to Me. We seldom use more than One Burner at a time anyway and when We are at a Full Hookup site We could use the Free Electricity instead of Our Propane.
We presently have an Electric Dual Burner Hotplate , but unless we are at a Site for an extended period it is a bit of a nuisance to unpack set up and repack. A Permanent Dual Fuel Cook Top would definitely work for Us!

Hi,

I often use an electric hot plate. They are available as a two burner (one large and one small) and just plug into a 15 amp outlet.

I would be interested in this appliance. I prefer electric over gas but have found using a diffuser helps.
