According to the news, they have caught this bear and her cubs. The YNP rangers called her a predator. She will be put down. I'm by no means blaming the campers or whether the had food or something not secure. But, when we came across bears, elk, buffalo, etc. when we were driving a few weeks ago, people, even young kids were getting out of their cars to get better pictures. Some were well with in striking range of this young grizzly. There is signs all over. This situation was different as this attacking bear wasn't right. But these people standing 20 feet from a grizzly along side of a road are going to have problems. I think some of these people do not have a clue about respecting animals. Maybe never been in the wild before. I just hope nothing drastic is done in the park.
