I just bought a new k-z 19ct and it has a GVWR of 7000 lb and a cargo capacity of 3583. Has anyone ever seen such a high gvwr for a 19 foot htt. I just got off the phone with k-z and they can't explain why mine has such a high gvwr. It is supposed to be only 5000 lb. Also my floor plan is not how it is advertized. Have not seen another one like it online. They are supposed to get back to me. The UVW is 3417 so that means that I can add more weight inside than the trailer weight.

I'd wait for confirmation because it's really unusual. Maybe they put the wrong axles under it.

I'm thinking it might be a custom order. They said that happens once in a while. Larger axles is ok. Better for me I guess. Roads are rough out here. Handles just fine. Will see. Hope to hear from them soon.

There should be a data tag on the axles themselves. 3500 pound (1600Kg) axle times two will easily give a GVWR of over 7000 pounds.

I had a somewhat similar situation with my KZ when I purchased it. Although not a HTT the actual unloaded weight was 4300# and the GVWR as was printed in their brochure was 6000# for a CCC of 1700# which sounds about average for a TT. It was purchased through a show though so I had to wait to pick it up a few weeks later. When I did pick it up the actual stamp on the trailer stated that the GVWR was 7000# which now gave me 2700# of CCC. My dealer couldn't explain it either. His line to me based on the storage compartments and such was "unless you're a rock collector you're not going to use all that CCC in this trailer". Nice to know the trailer will handle a lot more than I will ever pack.

Thanks for the reply's. I'll check the axles for a tag and see for sure. Just kind of weird they would put a larger axle that needed just on my rv.

I think next smaller axle is typically 2200 pounds (1000kg) or 4400 pounds. Axle capacity moves in large chunks it seems.

Well I do have 3500lb axles. That's good. Still have not heard from k-z to find out about my odd floor plan.

StarCraft did the same thing to their Antigua/TravelStar line a few years ago and put 3500lb axles on everything giving these lightweight HTT enormous CCC! Think they got a great deal on all the axles from Dexter
