I'm looking at an 07 WW FSC3200 and would like some real-world info regarding dry weight or anything else that may be helpful for a potential buyer. I would also be interested in what type and brand of weight distribution you use with pros and cons.

Dealer is asking 24,000 with new tires or 23,500 without. The one thing that caught my eye was that the tires were in bad condition. They appeared to be chunking. Is this potentially something serious?

Thanks

I had an FSW3400 +2'. Tongue weight was way heavy. If the trailer was packed and tanks full, but without vehicles in the back, tongue weight was over 3,200 pounds.

I ended up custom fabricating my receiver (with approval by a PE). I tried a Hensley, and destroyed it in one trip. I also broke a Reese hitch head, but the replacement held up fine. IMO the Reese hitch head it the strongest you can by. Yes, I was over it's rating too but it was the closest I could find.

Yes, it needs new tires. If it has 15" wheels upgrade to 16" with at least load range D tires. The 15" will not hold up.

Be diligent of the 13,000 GVWR. My FSW had the same GVWR, but it weighed over 11,000 bone dry. Which meant I could carry anything if the tanks were full. Weekend warrior told be to just abide by the axle ratings, which meant 18,000 pounds. Well, I no longer have the trailer because when it was loaded to 18,000 pounds, I tapped a guardrail due to black ice, and the A-frame on the trailer snapped off.

I dont think there's any reason to worry if you can stay under GVWR, but its obvious to me know that Ziemen put that number on there for a reason.

I had one it was great I had a husky with the 14k bars, towed great never any problems I just changed to a Class A is the only reason I don't have it anymore

Did a search and found this the other day at a dealer here in Los Angeles, it has new tires, inverter, 4 6volt batteries and a self finding satellite and I am sure you could get it for the same price because they are asking 24,000

I have been very happy with my 2006. We love the layout and would buy one again without reservation.

With that said here are some things I have noticed:
-It can very be heavy in the nose when not loaded with toys.
-It can eat up the tires. I went to an E rated tire. Both the front and back axle wear from turning.
-Get up there and inspect the roof, especially the front and back edges. The spot where the roof joins the cap is known to leak if not maintained with new roof caulk (not silicone) every 6 months. It's easy to do and there are more permanent fixes, don't let this scare you.
-It is a big trailer. I can easily fit 2 motorcycles, a quad and a Polaris RZR without trying. In retrospect with our son grown now we could have gotten by with the 28 foot.
-It tows very well, even in the wind. I've only had it in 25-30mph crosswinds and it wasn't nearly as bad as others I saw on the road.

Good luck with the negotiations.

Don't take life too seriously, it's not permanent.

Your right about that, the build date is 05.

Yikes, the one I am looking at does have a second A/C over the front bedroom.

I will definately counter their offer for sure if we decide to go with this unit.

Thanks

This is a concern of mine because we will not be using it to haul toys. We are getting a toyhauler to accomodate our two great danes. It is amazing how much space they use.

This is exactly how this unit was showing wear, the front and back axle, not so much on the center axle. It does have 16" E rated tires.

My old fsc 28 was an 07 built Feb 06 -no worries to me
4 quads full water, gas, food for a week the trailer was around 10-11- K
The tire issue is most likely just -needs new tires
Its most likely a repo, witch means it needs some TLC, tires, wheel bearings, roof checked

Thanks for the heads up. I definately wish I was closer to the southern California market, much more inventory to choose from. We now have an offer of 22 with new tires so it's getting closer.

Thanks,
