29 July 0915: Just called Bayou Segnette (504-736-7140) and its' sad. The only states that get the 50% off is LA and MD. No others, became effective 1 July 10. So that deal appears to be gone. Also their rates are up to $26 a night with a $6 registration fee. So my first night there would be $32 and those thereafter $26. I was really getting cranked up for $10-$12 a night, so I could stay longer on my budget. I'll still end of going anyway. All take care.

Thanks for the post. I'm afraid it will make a difference in tourism, something they don't need right now. A month before would cost about $270. Now it will be about $900. Ouch.
The new rates are about what we just paid through Florida. I know it's comparing apples and oranges, but an acceptable motel can be had for $50 in many places.
