I have no brake or turn signals. I tested to the light socket itself on the toad and have 10.6 volts. I do have running lights. Any suggestions? Flasher? Tail light converter? I have tested and added grounds, did not make a difference.

I just did a new wiring job myself. It tested ok.One thing I did when testing was to make sure I was grounded back to motor home. I know you said you added grounds so I hope this helps abit.

I'm guessing it's the towed that is having the problem. Most MH's have a separate fuse to each of the towed tail lights, brake lights, and running lights. These fuses are separate from the MH lights. It's really easy to pop a fuse when wiring the towed. They should be listed in your manual.

I test voltage thru the cord leaving the MH. I even test voltage - 10.6 v on the light sockets on the toad. The toad has separate lights for towing. (not using the Honda lights) Would I see voltage if it was a fuse?

If you are using a digital multimeter you may be getting fooled. The voltage is low in any case. Grab a 12 volt test light and start at the towing vehicles socket. Just pretend the test light is your toad one bulb at a time.

I have used both a volt meter and a 12 volt test light. the 12 volt test light flashes when turn signal is on at the dinghy side of the plug.

OK, tested right at the socket with a test light, had brakes applied and the test light lighted. With pedal on and I placed the bulb in the socket and the light would come on. When you took your foot off he brakes and tried again the bulb would not light.

What voltage do you have at the light sockets on the MH. The toad light sockets should should show voltage very close to that. If they both are 10.6V, I'd say you have some grounding problems in the MH. If the toad is much lower than the MH, I'd say you need to make sure you have a good ground connection from toad to MH.
What I have found is a good way to troubleshoot toad wiring is to hook up a 12V source (battery or charger) to each individual pin in the toad connector and see if the correct filament lights when I think it should. After that checks out all right, jumper each pin from the MH connector to the toad connector and do the same thing.
Or, if you have a blue coiled cable to the toad, remove the connector back shells and check for loose setscrews that are meant to hold the wires in the pins.
