Sorry about your trip. Having just completed an 1800 mile trip myself, I am amazed at the disgusting conditions on some of our major highways. When traveling and coming upon a rough stretch of road, we all slow down. The difficulty come when a hole such as the one you encountered occurs out of the blue when there is no time to respond.

Good luck in trying to get through this.

Sucks to hear about the trailer, maybe it will work in your favor though. Could end up with a new rig if you are patient and work a little at it.

I bent a wheel on my old car due to some poorly marked construction. Came over a hill and there was a sign about 30' from the trench that they referred to as a "Dip Ahead". I flat spotted both front wheels on that one, luckily when I swapped them to the rear they rode fine.

Same thing happened tgo my brother. They made him a great deal for salvage and he cut off part of the flanf. He then welded angle iron on to build a new flange. He then welded new spring hangers in place. If you can do the work, you can get byb cheap. You would still need to repair the floor

The frame can be straightened, but a new frame would be a lot cheaper!

Deltamaster is right, the municipality/construction company have a shared liablility here, your insurance company will probably go chase them after they settle with you.
