I use Croc Pot all the time in RV. Sometimes, like others here, I leave it outside and nobody bothers it. But to me, it is such a money saver since if my DH couldn't eat when we got home, he'd want to eat out. Saves us Money!!!

Thank you all for the replies. I was hoping it would be ok, just super cautious as we never leave anything running when we are gone.

You have likley heard of Murphys Law. I help fight a house fire that was caused by a unattended crock pot. Make certain it has adequate liquid for the time you will be away.

The crock pot needs adequate ventilation while in use. If you are concerned, just leave it in the kitchen sink with nothing around the pot at all.

Throw a pork loin roast in the crock pot with onions, and some canned green chiles, and a can of green chile enchilada sauce... yummy in a burrito or tacos.

Oooooh I love this one! Simple and I just know it's going to be good! Thank you for sharing!
And to the OP. I too leave my crock pot alone to cook during the day.

Just make sure your Crock Pot isn't an older one. They do eventually go!!!! Our son was using his and it caught fire. If it's a newer one I don't think you would have a problem. Fortunately, our son was at home when it caught fire.
