Hello! I'm new to this folder and have a question.
We will be camping for 2 weeks, likely at full hook-up campgrounds. During the day we are either sight-seeing or off on the trails. Is it safe to leave the crock pot cooking all day while we are out? The only occupant will be our dog, he won't disturb anything.
Thanks for your help!

Yes, we set ours on top of the metal folding stove cover, or inside the ceramic sink just in case. We've even left it plugged into the outside outlet on a metal table. Just in case it get's too hot and damages the counter top. Stews, chili, ribs, spaghetti sauce, sweet and sour meatballs, etc. We do the same with our rice cooker.

I set my crockpot in a box on the table at the back of the RV (outside) and it has never been bothered.

You do it at home, don't you? That's what a crockpot is made for.

I leave my crock pot unattended at home and at camp. That's what's it was designed for.

With all the appliances you leave plugged in during the day (lamps, tv, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, etc) there shouldnt be any problem with a CrockPot being plugged in and used too. No reason it should burn up just because you arent there watching.

The only caution if not enough liquid it may evap till dry if the lid is ajar or on too high a heat tooooo long. We put the crock pot in a plastic bag lined cardboard box and this in the sink and block it in place with old towels. Running the generator as we travel so have 120 vac for the aircond and let it cook as we roll.. supper ready when we arrive. A four pound roast shreaded is easier than hamberger paddies to do BBQ buns.
