Get some help from someone. I have the same set up including the Winegard switch box and do not have any problem. Not being there it is hard to tell what you are doing. For example it is easy to have a bad coax cable.

Do you have the coax from the LNB direct to the sat in on back of receiver (no connections anywhere between??) Are they factory installed ends on coax?? not turn on ends?
Do you have a meter to confirm continuity?-of coax?
If it works in home it will work here!!!!! Searching for signal indicates output from receiver is getting to tv ok
Has your remote battery gone dead?? menu should come on- even not hooked to dish??
Unplug the receiver to reset in case it has locked up
Cant think of anything else for you to try

What y ou are doing wrong is using the sat-finder meter.. Scrap it

instead hook a battery operated portable TV to the external TV jack on your rig (or pick any tv jack and snake a cable out the door) and use the REceiver's built in signal strength meter.

On dish it is MENU 6-1-1 Direc I'm not sure how to get there

By the way, the software in a dish network receiver... They sell a stand alone meter for over a thousand dollars... And it's every bit as good, not better, just as good.

Thanks to all for the great suggestions. Went out this afternoon, hooked everything back the same way as I have been doing and for some strange reason I was able to get to the menu screen, satellite strength meter, moved the dish around until I had a nice strong beep (95)and now I have a good picture.

Thanks again.
