We ran into a Prevost mini rally in 08 or 09 in Tx. The men were mostly good ole boys but the women were the snobs. There were three coaches for sale with one going for 2.4 million. All had slides. Back in 06 in Stone Mtn, Ga there was a rally for Prevost and Wanderlodges. Watched a guy drive up look at a coach came out and wrote a check and said to transfer everything from one coach to the other. Told the sales people he would be back later. We were invited for coffe and donuts in the morning and for burger for lunch even though they knew we could not afford anything they had and never will.

Just for an update...I see RV.Direct corrected the price on that Cornerstone, it now sounds more in line at 577,000.00 but they did have it at 1.something million.

I disagree. There was a time when I was going to convert a Thomas Transit Liner shuttle bus to a motor home. I went to the Marathon lot in Grand Prairie to both look at layouts for design ideas, and get a peek at the ultimate coaches. I was in plain ol jeans and grubby shirt. The salesman greeted me without hesitation, and opened up three coaches for me to spend as much time as I wanted in them, even though I told him why I was there. He just smiled, told me to have a good time, and to bring in that bus when I was ready to trade. I certainly did not fit the big whig CEO type then. During my looking around, I found the toll window was open in one of the coaches, and couldn't get it closed. I told the guy about it right away, so he could get it fixed. He was thankful again for my pointing out the problem.

They are nice to look at. Lots of money to buy and to keep. Good for you if you can afford one. One other problem, the windows don't open to let the breeze blow thru.

It's always fun to see what a huge pile of money will buy you...LOL! But I'm not jealous of them - I LOVE my little plain-jane Class C and all the fun it offers!

A Prevost doesn't have to feel dark inside. That is just a choice in materials the owner or the manufacturer made. If I ever had enough money to have one custom built I would choose materials that are light and airy instead of dark like most choose.

I still don't understand why they make them look like funhouses on wheels with the mirrored ceilings and all that.

We have friends who bought a used Prevost and love it. It doesn't have any slides and that is one of the reasons they wanted that model. Not my preference. I felt too enclosed when we were hanging out there. I will say, it was an excellent quality coach. Maybe when I win the lottery I'll get one made? Nah, I'll just get me a nice FW and DH a new truck.

Lot's of people who have Prevost's have bought them as ex-highway coaches and converted them themselves. Sometimes for not all that much money. You do get a coach that is very reliable, easy to maintain, parts availability is excellent, and they are an order of magnitude safer in an accident than many other types of motorhome. You can put one in a ditch and roll it, and you'd swear that by looking at it you could roll it back on it's wheels, start it up and drive it away. Many other types of motorhomes you'd be sweeping up parts for days...

I drive an MCI conversion, and I can honestly say that I didn't even consider a non-bus MH even for a second. It takes all kinds...
