You know, that was exactly the reason I chose my FunFinder instead of a Prevost. That, and maybe $600,000 worth of other reasons. Yeah.

EXACTLY! There was no challenge to just writing out a big check. Whereas, when buying a Newmar I had to use all my negotiating skills in order to obtain a 27% discount......

We saw that a few years back in Birch Bay, WA, a TT, and saw at least 25 of them all empty! And they were for the couple days we were there - parked in a circle on a back loop. Turns out that they were from the new buyers of that year (2005?) and were being taken to an Alaska cruise for one week as a thank you! They should get a good thank you at $1M + per each unit. We left before they came back (not that they were likely to invite a bunch of us tenters in ...)

Older Prevost's like older Newmar or Tiffin etc. don't have slides because they didn't have slides then. Newer ones have up to 4 slides. Many of the Prevost's only have 2 slides because the slides are deeper then the slides on Newmar, Tiffin etc, so provide the same interior room. The other advantage to 2 slides versus 3 or 4 is that you don't have a head banger on the passenger side of the MH.

Like all RV's, the value plummeted late 08 and the no slideout ones were turning up on the consignment lots in droves. Yuma had a few consignment lots with at least one, some with 3 or more Prevost in each lot. If you wanted one and were content to own a non slide version you could have made a real deal.

Talking about expensive Coaches...go check out RV Direct.Com on their Entegra Cornerstone 45' MH's...their list price is a mere 1,900,000.00+/-( a mis-print, Im sure) but kinda funny to read that you can get 20-40% off that price.

A 2011 Entegra 45Rb lists out at $586,458.00. Suprisingly it looks very much like a Travel Supreme Select inside and out...

Don't want no Prevost! I'm holdin' out for a Newell coach. They only got two for 2011,and one of 'em is already sold. Guess I better save my nickels quick!

Let's don't be real harsh in judging other people and their choice of RVs. After all, that's why they make so many varieties--because we come in so many varieties.
