The Provost folks gathered at Narrow Too RV Park in Trenton, Maine. Must be 15 of those million dollar rigs all lined up like some sort of Motorcoach Show for the rich and famous. Some are towing Hummers, others - Mercedes. There is one rig that is towing a cargo trailer that has a matching paint job as long as my 5er - he must be towing a class B in there. I've never seen so much chrome in my life.

They really are beautiful rigs but what I don' understand is that only a few of them have any slideouts. Why do you suppose that is? In any casw, quite a show and admission was free

Not everyone can handle the pricetag of a Prevost with slideouts.

Did you hear what the masochist said to the sadist? He said, "Hit me". The sadist said, "No".

Many of them are used as road machines; traveling motel/lounge areas for race car drivers, musicians, etc and slides are in the way on the road.

That and they cost a lot more.

For those of you who dream to own one.....they are dark, 'really' dark inside, like living in a cave. My friends have one and we travel together and when it comes time to hanging out together 'inside' the MH...I beat feet back to mine! Personally, IMHO, JMHO I wouldn't own one.

I agree, we have a friend who spent the winter next to us several years ago. Very cramped, small (no slides) and dark...not to mention he had a heck of time keeping it cool. Most of those really need 100AMP service to run all the A/C's, appliances, etc. Think the thing had four or five A/C's, and he could only run one or two at the most. With the way it was divided inside...made cooling very difficult.

I think I'll stick with my 5er....

You know, that was exactly the reason I chose my FunFinder instead of a Prevost. That, and maybe $600,000 worth of other reasons. Yeah.

We saw a similar sight at the Glacier KOA in 2008. If I recall, they are called the "jewels" as a sub group of FMCA. There were about 30 + super high end coaches. They had hired security to keep an eye on things we they all took off for excursions after a major robbery a few years earlier. We strolled through several times and everyone in the group we came across was just as nice and normal as the rest of us thiftier folk in the CG.
