Cashew sits on her perch in the window to watch the birds but instead watches the shadows on the wall and is quite fasanated by them. She actually falls off the perch.

Mark, you need to go and paint big red X's on those boulders. Can't have embarrassed working dogs. Now, if they were cats, they would act like, "I meant to do that!"

Trial hosts and judges would not appreciate paint on the rocks. Yes, that's right we did this at a trial; it was a very big regional trial and she ignored my redirect whistles. The icing on the cake was she did it again on the second day; I figured that she should remember for her first day that it was a rock. The next year I sent her along the other side of the field without issue.

When I lived in Anchorage we had some Caribou to cook. As long as that was in the house, the dogs we had would not go into the kitchen. Once cooked and eaten, they returned but not before.

My 11 year old golden, Reilly, is absolutely OBSESSED with lizards!! Even though he hasn't seen a lizard on the base of our table on the patio in over 6 years, he insists that they're still there and barks and paws at it almost every day! And of course he goes crazy over the manny, many lives ones that are all over our yard all the time!
FINALLY got my RV! - proud new owner of 2009 Winnebago Outlook 30D Ford E450
Dogmom to Reilly (cancer survivor), Bianca (the rescue golden) and Helen the orange kitty (a rescue, too)
Doggie Grandma to one gorgeous golden puppy named Jameson

Nope, she was staring at the ghost/guest sitting in the chair. Our dogs and occasionally, even our cat, see apparitions from time to time. Maybe they're our old pets, stopping for a visit to see how we're doing? Once in awhile, one of them requires chasing.
Was more then likely it….I believe dogs can see energies which we can’t and some are more in tune to this anomaly.
As mentioned several times, Baby had this knack. While walking (mostly during the evening) she’d stop look directly at something and start barking (First time she did this was at night at a new project we were at which was out in the middle of no where and gave me an eerie kind of feeling). Then as if the energy left, she’d immediately stop and continue on. Me, I just say hi and hope your doing well.
Very similar situation when we’d be on the highway. However when ever we reach a certain area on I-93 (Kingman to Vegas segment) she’d jump up on the dash an stare out of the front windshield and start barking. Not a random bark, but looking at something specific and would continue till we passed the area. This would’ve drove most folks nuts. I just ask her if her friends are doing OK?
I've seen stuff myself while in Hawaii. However not here in the Mainland. I will smell a local flower from time to time (in an area where theres no flowers). I also notice when an animal or bird would hang around for no reason at all. Wouldn't be disturbed by the dogs...I tell them thanks for visiting and we're doing OK. Oh, one thing maybe, can you fix the number's on this weeks lotto for us...

WOW! That rings a bell - unless there are several RV Parks with bunnies? We also stayed at a campground in Wyoming that had ground squirrels everywhere - that made our dogs crazy, too!

Our Lab Lucy is fascinated with commercials, especially the ones that have dogs in them and are somewhat animated, she stares right at them until they're finished. Animal planet is a big hit too!
She also is quie taken with the lizards we see in Florida, chases them but has never caught one...probably wouldn't know what to do with it if she did.

Dash has been fascinated with the laser pen since he was a pup. At 11, he still will jump on the spot, and he even knows where I keep it on the chest of drawers, and starts to get excited if I reach for the case.
