And it works with all the major browsers such as IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera, with no special addon extensions needed! Plus, you don't need to be logged in or be concerned whether your browser cookies are still set not to bring up the popups. Just follow a simple one-time procedure when you visit the Forums/Blogs:
When you "first" visit any Forum page or Blog page, just use the keyboard combo CTRL+R on a PC immediately after the "first" page finishes loading in your browser. All this does is "reloads" the current page, but because of the way the Forums/Blogs popup's are designed to work, the "check" cookie has been already been set, so you won't see the popups on your current or any other page! You can also use the CTRL+R trick if the popup already appears, such as the Blog's Sign Up popup which appears fairly quickly after a Blog page loads for the first time. Saves from using your mouse to physically close the popup. You only need to do this on the first page you visit on the Forums or the Blogs.
There are of course other methods including member's logging in to their account as soon as you first visit the Forum's. Or otherwise, using a specific browser addon extensions with filters to block these popups, but this is another simple method that can be used by anyone. I though I'd share this info. as I was asked about this not too long ago, and the subject of the popups have been brought up in several very vocal posts in the past.
