We toured the "Tour Bus Garage" in Nashville a few years back and were told that only a few of the "old timers" actually owned their bus. Vast majority were leased, complete with driver.

There are a lot of Elvis’s out there… he even showed up at the CG here… that's all I have to say about that…

Two tour buses are often parked just up the road from me (at the homes of the mother/ daughter drivers) when not in use and are leased for months at a time, are usually reserved well in advance, and often by the same bands… the crew busses usually bunk 4 to 8 people with two lounges… others have a master bedroom, all are well appointed…
Of coarse I am sure plenty of them are owned as well…
I have seen the same bus with decals and then without so they must somehow be removable decals…
I spoke with a driver in Florida once ( I didn’t even recognize the name on the bus but winner of 7 Grammy awards) said he drives the bus to the venues empty for use there and has never met the entertainer himself… funny, and pretty wasteful…

If they are breaking up, wonder who gets the coaches? You are correct. There was a star studded farewell concert several months ago on network TV (wasn't bad either).

Several years ago we camped beside an older tour bus. The owner said it used to belong to Jimmy Buffett.

They are calling it quits. That's why their coach is named "Last Rodeo"

Had a group playing the CG here tonight… what a great show and great musicians, with a couple of really good sound engineers, traveling in their older tour bus…
they offered to let me see the inside after the show but it was so hot by the time they would be done tearing down and getting cleaned up it would have been near 3am… so I didn’t want to impose and didn’t get the chance…
I believe the one guy said it was originally owned and bought from the Marshall Tucker band when they toured with them…
I had taken some pictures of the show but the stage lighting was to bright they all look like white silhouettes …
The bus (45 ft) in great shape, with bunks for 12 people...
