Another option that may not be so obvious for hosting photos online is using a free Dropbox account. Basically, Dropbox is an online file sync/backup storage site that has a "public" folder which allows direct links to content with no file type, size, or set bandwidth limits. The free account gives you a minimum of 2GB of FREE online storage space, more than a free Photobucket account, and all uploads to Dropbox servers are sent via SSL.
The most convenient way to upload content to Dropbox servers is to install their app on each computer you want access to your photos. Dropbox creates a folder on your computer that is automatically kept in sync with its servers. And you can easily access the Dropbox folder anytime by clicking the icon located in your lower task bar.
To upload photos for use on Craigslist, you just drag and drop them individually or create a separate folder containing your photos into your computer's Dropbox "Public" folder. You now have a local copy of your photos which can be accessed whether you have a net connection or not, plus a copy which was auto. uploaded to Dropbox. All your other computers with the Dropbox app will also have the same photos available both locally and remotely once allowed to sync.
To get your photos direct url link for use in Craigslist or on any website, just right-click the specific file in the Dropbox Public folder, select "Dropbox," and click "Copy Public Link," and it will be auto. copied into your computer's clipboard. To remove any photo from Dropbox's servers, just delete them or move them off the Public folder locally. Just one caveat, make sure to use the "Public" folder and not the "Photo" folder in Dropbox which is intended to generate a photo gallery, and does not provide individual url links to photos within that folder.

I am the OP.
Thanks for all your help.
I am not allowed to discuss my actual listing on e-bay.
I wanted to insert text in the bottom of each photo using iPhoto explaining what each was trying to show. Does anyone know how to do this?
Ed

Open your photos in preview. It's in your application folder. With the open photo go to tools>annotate> add text. Insert your text and save....
