Me ...?
I went to Auto Zone, picked up a LARGE funnel, two feet of 2" rubber hose ( two in. ?, incase I dropped the bolt, it wouldn't stop up, and over flow tha' funnel.) two inch hose clamp, and a 10 qt. bucket.
clamp the hose to the funnel, slide the funnel up over the cross member, run tha' hose into bucket, unscrew oil pan bolt, let her drain 6 qts. NOW....
who was the Gorilla that put the oil filter on ????
Take your bucket, and pour the oil into milk gallon jugs, run em' over to Walmart for recycle.
Before I started, I thought and scared myself about laying under there, and getting my self caught or runned over, if N ... the MH jumped outta gear... So...
chock up, and don't lay cross ways behind a tire... Stay in front of them !
Enjoy tha' shade under there : D ... Did
ya' get your oil filter off ?

I always do the filter first, that way when it slips out of my hand and falls into the container it doesn't make as big of a splash.

I just hold a funnel under the drain plug that directs the oil to the drain pan without hitting the axle. When the draining is down to drips, I just let it drip on the axle and then from the axle to the pan. A couple of paper towels are used to wipe off excess oil from the axle. No biggie!!

Those of you using the jacks, hope you're also using some HD jack stands when you are under the MH.

The Fumoto/Quik Valve looks to be the ticket. I'd much rather do that than try and get a pan with six quarts of oil down off the axle.

Thanks for the tip!

The good news is the front axle will be the last component under there without rust.

Very good thread...it inspires me because taking the coach to the shop is a PITA.

A logical follow-on question (since oil change and lube go together) is, where can you find a chart that shows the lube points? In my case it is a 2008 Sightseer 35J F53 V10. Thanks!

Disregard....Google is my friend and found lots of links. This seems the best Clicky and it's right here on the forum.

Oh c'mon! With the front jacks down almost lifting the tires off the ground, the drain pan goes on top of my axle, and there's still room to work... This is as easy as it gets.

Same here just be careful and you can do it with out making any kind of a mess

I have always set the drain pain on top of my axle and drained it.

Last oil change I put the Fumoto valve on it and I am ready for the next oil change.
