OK well I have been playing around with my setup for a while and still can't figure it out. I still get a weird feeling going around corners. It is hard to explain. Maybe it might be normal. I'm not used to towing something so heavy. Has anyone experienced the same this towing a trailer that is equal weight or more than there TV. The setup of my WD is good now. Trailer is level and the TV is 1/2in lower in back and 1/4 in front. Maybe the feeling is of my TV leaning around corners with my trailer? Any new advice.

Remove the "sway bar" and take a couple of the same corners. Note any differences.

I tried that. I drove about 50 miles like that and same thing. I don't think the ass end of the truck can slide but it kind of feels like it could. Weird. The highways out here are kind of bad. Good corners. Most of you would not know what I'm talking about unless you drove on them. One of them is highway 69 north in ontario and 144. They are just now fixing the problem after lots of crashes.

Do you have new tires? Are your tires aired to the MAX pressure listed on the sidewall? I recently replaced the 'P' rated tires on my TV with 'E' rated LT tires and experienced that 'sliding' feeling for the first few times I towed the TT. They have since worn a little and it rides much better.

They are not new. 2000km on them. I just checked the pressure today before I did a test drive. They are cheap tires. They are called triangle. Look good though. What does the p and e stand for. I can't remember

The P is for P-metric tires, found on almost all cars, SUVs and 1/2 ton trucks. The LT (light truck) tires have higher load range ratings (C, D or E) and use higher air pressure.

The question is do I still need both. I just finished attaching it to my truck and it only lowers the suspension just under 1 inch. I think that means that I don't need it also since I have a larger truck the sway bar might not be needed also.

Well guys I just ended up buying a new truck. I got a 08 chevrolet silverado Z71 with the 5.3 liter engine. This camper is realy costing me alot of money. Have not pulled it yet but considering that my truck can now pull up to 10000 lbs, are the torsion bars still needed. I doubt that my truck will lower any with it hooked up. Also I doubt that I will need the sway bar. Keep in mind that my trailer weighs about 4200 lbs loaded and about 450 lbs tongue weight.
I seen a couple of people with the same size truck and camper and did not have them.

Just what's the question again?
I'm still confused by your torsion bar citation. There are none other than in the trailer's suspension I'm aware of and you may have leaf springs there anyway.
Do you mean sway control? Weight distribution? What?
The answers are Yes, and Yes if that's what you mean. In addition. A good WDH like the Equalizer (brand) does both functions seamlessly.
