I'm wondering if anyone on here has tried these products???? They are used to get rid of Fleas, Ticks, and (from what their ads say ) just about any other insect out there
It's made from Cedar Oil
http://www.bugshateit.com
It is supposed to be safe for the dogs, as well as kids and grandkids, so we're interested. The "spot" treatments have some negative effects, and we're wondering if anyone has heard about this stuff.....one way or the other???
Thanks in advance

We have a hundred lb Lab and he has always come in the house until now, we used Front line on him then switched to Hart's the kind you put on his back from a tube, well he has developed some flea's and has left some in the house, we have tried Borax on the carpet and vacuuming ever day, I went to MFA yesterday and got a spray called
Tempo to spray the house with it kills flea's on contact and doesn't hurt you if used properly, also I got a bottle of Permectrin 11 that you spray on the dog to kill flees, haven't tried it yet you can look either one of these up on the INTERNET, I went to a farm store and they called a Chemical rep up and ask what was best for my situation,,,,

There's a product called Comfortis, it is a vet RX and can only be used for 2-3 months. It starts killing fleas in 1 hour, also makes them sterile, by the time the 2-3 monthes is past the house is flea free. I'm using it on my doxie now. Should be able to go back to a regular treatment next month. It's not much more expensive than the spot treatments but you have to get it from a vet.
I've given up on Frontline, it seems that the fleas have gotten immune to it.
Keep the shiny side up.

We are now using the Comfortis, but after giving the pills to the dogs (8 of them ) yesterday, we noticed that at least two had thrown up the pill.....so now we're not sure who had the treatment????
Our problem with the drops on the back......aside from the afore mentioned ineffectiveness, is that the dogs are so small, and tend to lick each other, like cats, that we had to keep them in crates for awhile after treating them (probably should have done that with the Comfortis too )....until it dried.
We read about the cedar oil based Nature's Defender, and had wondered if anyone had tried it....if it was effective? Of course, their ad makes it sound better than slised bread!!
