Anyone traveling form Yucaipa to Sacramento, CA? For transport only?

Hi,

I know that I have asked before and am probably being a pain. But, we desperately need help in getting a little elder Cocker Spaniel from Southern California (Yucaipa area) to Sacramento, CA. ASAP! This little doggie is temporarily homeless due to his owner loosing their home. He has a foster family ready and willing to take him in Sacramento, CA. Time is running out, so we would appreciate any help you can provide.

So, all he needs some RV’ers help with wheels to get him from one place to another.

Please reply to myself and I will gladly either pass the info on or get you directly in touch with the people who are arranging this transport.

Thanks so much,
Dawn

It isn't a great time, and it frankly isn't great weather... and I'm probably not on the most direct route, though I plan to go down to the LA area later this week. But if it really is desperate I'm willing to do what I can.

Hi Susan,

Thanks for your offer. Though, I know that it would probably be an imposition for you.

Are you referring to your going South to Yucaipa and bringing the dog back North to your area (Ridgecrest)?

Thanks again,
Dawn

We could potentially set something up like that. The trip this week isn't going to be a fun one, I've got an uncle I need to see in Simi while I can. I'll have my lot with me, but room in the back for a crate, so if there is anyone who could get the little guy up to the SF valley, that might be workable on my way through. It isn't great, but I could hold him in RC for a few days if needs be.

Alternatively if things get really ugly, I could get someone here to watch the dogs up here for half a day and make the trek down and just get him. Again, I'm not in the most direct path north but... it just depends on what else is or isn't available and how hard the time limit is.

Hi Susan,

I have sent word out to those in charge of the transport. I am trying to get a contact for you so you can discuss with them what you can and can not do to help this little Cocker out. And, thanks so much for your offer.

As soon as I get the contact info I will either post here or PM you.

Thanks so much. I do appreciate your offer even though you are having your own problems yourself! Hope you will see your Uncle and have a very nice visit.

Hi Susan,

I am sorry that I did not get back to you yesterday! I was waiting for a reply from the gals operating this transportation. I just remembered that I have not heard from them today. So, I guess you are off the hook, but I sure do appreciate your offer. I do know how difficult it would have been for you to cope with transporting of a dog along with all of your other happenings.

I sure hope that your Uncle is well enough to receive you. I do understand the situation and I am so sorry.

I hope they can work something out. Do keep us all posted and again, if things get really desperate I can probably help out. I've got my hands full here, to be sure... but not so full that I'd let a dog be lost for want of a ride.
