I have no problem with paying. I use my shower now, but before we had the TT I appreciated going to the shower house knowing there would be hot water because kids hadn't left the showers running.

I have to admit that I was startled by the sign in a campground bathroom that said "Shower only accepts loonies" My first thought was "what does sanity have to do with cleanliness?"
Uh yeah - my first camping trip in Canada....LOL!!
I'll use a pay shower rather than haul everything out of my "pantry" (er - shower...) - dry it out, then put everything back in.

Had a pay (tokens) shower at 5 branches camper park in Colorado, it was a low cost CG right on the lake, $32/night, so i understood, but they sure did nickel and dime us with wifi, laundry, and such.
The fun part of the story is that my 5 minute shower token was perfect, got in, got clean got out. "My shower was great," said the DH, "how was your shower?" he asked to the DW.
After her first 5 minutes ran out, not one, but ALL of the shower stalls the DW used JAMMED and wouldn't accept anymore tokens, or ATE the last few tokens she had. This was at 10:30pm, and the office closed at 5pm. I had one sour, soapy, and sudsy DW!
Lesson #901.a - stay at a CG with 24hr Office
Lesson #901.b - or at least get to know the CG Host before 10pm

I thought we were the only ones that had used their shower as a closet, pantry. We found a 5 shelf plastic shelf that exactly fit in our shower and I use a few buckets on the shelfs for pantry items and then I use the rest of the shelves for my clothes. We could in an absolute emergency remove everything and then like you said dry it and put everything back, but we find that all parks have showers and are larger and more convenient.
The only problem I have ever had was we all of a sudden had a terrible odor in the rear of the rv and then we discovered that the p trap in the shower had dried out. I now remember to pour about a gallon of water down the shower every week.

After having a 5-gallon jug of water spring a leak in a storage compartment - it dawned on me that the shower was the perfect place to store stuff that could spill! Plus, it's the only place that can hold a 20# bag of dog food....

No, that's why I pay for full hook-ups. I don't want to use the public showers.

They already did. When you paid for the site. you paid for the shower. End of story.
I respectfully disagree. Sure when the Shower was built, it was paid for with Taxpayer Money. There are, however ongoing expenses that were not covered when the Shower was built. The Water Bill for Example.
You may have mnisunderstood my answere. I didn't mean, tax money where they were built. I meant, the site fee when I check in. That is when I pay for the shower, the electricity, and water.
And to answere the above quote to me. I didn't say anything about free showers. I paid for it when I checked in.
And in truth. The State, and Federal Parks we go to don't have showers anyway. In fact, they have no hookups at all. It is the private CG, I'm speaking about.
I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I was referring to State Parks.
When I tried to edit my post to correct it, the website burped and it did not go through.
I believe in Private CGs, the cost of using the Showers should be included in the Cost of staying there.
God Bless!

I think they should double or even triple the coin operated showers and then lower the site fee.
I honestly dont think any "public" shower could possibly be clean, 24/7.

Let's see, I am at their park and, if I shower in the public shower I have to pay and/or the shower is timed but, if I shower in my RV I can take as long a shower as I want free (included in my site fee). Doesn't make sense as the water comes from the same place either way.
